ReelCaption lets you load a video in your browser, automatically generate word-level captions from its audio, style them, and export a captioned video (MP4) or subtitle files (.srt and .vtt). Your video is processed in your browser; only the extracted audio is sent to our transcription provider to produce the captions. See our Privacy Policy for the details of how data is handled.

To use ReelCaption you sign in with Google. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account secure, and you are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use ReelCaption.

Free tier

ReelCaption offers a free tier that includes 5 minutes of audio transcription per month, with no credit card required. Free-tier clips may be subject to a maximum length, and free transcription may be temporarily unavailable during periods of high demand.

Paid plans

Paid plans unlock more transcription each month and full-length clips. Pro is $5 per month for 100 minutes of audio, and Creator is $15 per month for 600 minutes. Annual billing is available and saves you roughly two months compared with paying monthly. Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply.

Payments and renewals

Payments are processed by Stripe. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method for the recurring fee.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from your account. When you cancel, you keep your paid features until the end of the current billing period, after which your account returns to the free tier. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods except where required by law.

Price changes

We may change our prices or plan features. If we change the price of a plan you are on, we will apply the change from your next billing period and make the new price clear before it takes effect.

Your plan includes a monthly allowance of audio-minutes for transcription, measured per billing cycle. Usage is counted by the length of the audio you transcribe.

• When you reach your plan's allowance, transcription pauses until your allowance resets at the start of your next billing cycle, or until you upgrade to a plan that covers your usage.
• Pausing transcription does not delete anything: work already in your browser stays yours, and you can still edit and export captions you have already generated.
• Free-tier transcription may be rate-limited or temporarily unavailable to keep the service sustainable for everyone.

We may apply reasonable measures to prevent abuse of quotas, including limits on automated or excessive use.

You retain all rights to the videos, audio, and captions you create with ReelCaption. We do not claim ownership of your content.

You grant us a limited, temporary license to process the audio you submit solely to provide the transcription and captioning service to you. As described in our Privacy Policy, your video never leaves your browser and we do not retain your audio or caption text after processing.

You are responsible for the content you process, and you confirm that you hold all rights and permissions necessary to do so. You must not use ReelCaption to process content that is unlawful, infringes others' rights, or breaches these Terms.

When using ReelCaption, you agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose, or to process content you do not have the right to use.
• Upload or generate content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, hateful, or that depicts the sexual exploitation of minors.
• Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with quotas, security, or other limits of the service.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or build a competing product from the service, except to the extent the law expressly permits.
• Resell or sublicense access to ReelCaption without our written permission.
• Disrupt or place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure or our providers.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

ReelCaption, including its software, design, and brand, is owned by Adrian Szablowski and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or to the underlying software beyond the right to use the service as intended.

ReelCaption relies on third-party providers to operate, including Google (sign-in), Groq (transcription), Stripe (payments), and Railway (hosting). Your use of the service may also be subject to those providers' terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

Captions are generated using automated speech recognition. It is highly accurate but can make mistakes — especially with background noise, strong accents, overlapping speakers, or uncommon words. ReelCaption is a tool to assist you: you are responsible for reviewing and correcting captions before you publish or rely on them, which is exactly why we give you full editing controls.

We work to keep ReelCaption available and reliable, but we provide it on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ReelCaption is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and the accuracy of generated captions. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ReelCaption and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or content, arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not affect mandatory consumer rights under Polish or EU law.

You may stop using ReelCaption and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to us, other users, or our providers. On termination, your right to use the service ends and we delete your associated data as described in our Privacy Policy.

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you may have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from a paid subscription. Because ReelCaption is a digital service supplied immediately, by starting a paid subscription and using its paid features you ask us to begin performance right away and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal is lost once the service has been fully performed. This does not affect any other mandatory consumer rights.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will take reasonable steps to make the update clear. Your continued use of ReelCaption after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland and the European Union. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence in the EU/EEA continue to apply where relevant.
